About
United Against Cancer Foundation

EST. 2023

Paul and Meghan Rypkema know first-hand the devastating impact pediatric cancer can have on a family. After their daughter, Carly, at 21 months old was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer, their lives were forever changed. Fortunately for them, and so many others whose children have had similar diagnosis, treatment options are available due to medical research funding.

Our Story

Thankfully, Carly has triumphed over her diagnosis and is now living her best life; a result of which makes us recognize the essential importance of medical research funding that can save so many young lives. Despite the awesome victory in Carly’s case, there are still thousands of children struggling with this lifealtering disease. That’s why we join Paul and Meghan in introducing the United Against Cancer Foundation. Carly's journey serves as a beacon of hope, illuminating the path we’ve dedicated ourselves to tread – a path towards a world free of pediatric cancer. This foundation is a tribute not only to Carly, a fierce warrior whose spirit continues to inspire us, but also to every child bravely battling against cancer. This foundation is for all the warriors out there who face each day with courage and resilience. It’s for the children who inspire us with their strength, the families who make incredible sacrifices, and the medical professionals who work tirelessly to save lives.

"I’ll never know why cancer chose my two-year-old daughter, but I do know it brought out the best in the people I love.  I’ll dedicate the rest of my life sharing our story and raising money to support research to find a cure for all cancers. Can you imagine a world without cancer? I can."
